The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) is the recognised Government backed health and safety pre-qualification in the UK. It is available for suitably competent suppliers. The aim of the scheme is to save time and resources by avoiding unnecessary duplication in the first stage of competence assessment and it is used by the Public Sector such as Local Authorities, NHS, Emergency Services, Government Departments and also by many Construction companies in the Private Sector.
Charter Health and Safety Solutions have recently assisted another of our Clients, AEP (Modular Construction) Limited, in renewing their CHAS Accreditation.
AEP (Modular Construction) Limited, based near Stockbridge, Hampshire, undertake modular building construction including the steel fabrication, cladding, roofing, curtain walling, windows and doors on projects nationwide.
Specialising in the retail sector, AEP have worked directly for McDonald’s for over 20 years and more recently have worked extensively on projects for Sainsbury’s and Tesco. Maintaining CHAS Accreditation has enabled the continued awarding of these prestigious contracts.
If your company, large or small, requires CHAS Accreditation to satisfy a client or tender requirement, or you want to save time and money by not having to complete the health and safety section of pre-qualification questionnaires of SSIP members then please contact the Southampton office or email firstname.lastname@example.org for a competitive quote. We also have offices located in London and Salisbury.
In addition to CHAS, Charter Health and Safety Solutions can also supply guidance on and assist with gaining Exor, ContractorPlus and Safecontractor Accreditation.
