The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) is the recognised Government backed health and safety pre-qualification in the UK. It is available for suitably competent suppliers. The aim of the scheme is to save time and resources by avoiding unnecessary duplication in the first stage of competence assessment and it is used by the Public Sector such as Local Authorities, NHS, Emergency Services, Government Departments and also by many Construction companies in the Private Sector.
Charter Health & Safety Solutions have recently provided assistance to another of our Clients in renewing CHAS Accreditation. Specialising in Plumbing, Heating, Electrical and Renewable Energy installations, Lush M&E are a family run business based near Eastleigh and have completed works for developers, architects and self build customers across the Hampshire area. CHAS Accreditation will enable Lush M&E to continue to tender for contracts with large house builders who require all their sub-contractors to have third party health & safety accreditation.
If your company, large or small, requires CHAS Accreditation to satisfy a client or tender requirement, or you want to save time and money by not having to complete the health and safety section of pre-qualification questionnaires of SSIP members then please contact our Southampton office or email firstname.lastname@example.org for a competitive quote.
In addition to CHAS, Charter Health and Safety Solutions can also provide guidance on and assist with gaining Exor, ContractorPlus and Safecontractor Accreditation.
